Discover the beauty and freedom of painting flowers in watercolour in this 5-week daytime course at IN ART Studio.

Designed for both beginners and artists who would like to develop a looser, more expressive approach to florals, this course will guide you through the essential techniques for creating fresh, luminous and natural-looking flowers.

Throughout the five weeks, we’ll explore a variety of floral subjects while learning how to simplify complex forms and capture the character of flowers without overworking them.

What You’ll Learn

During the course, we’ll work on:

• Water and pigment control for soft, transparent washes
• Wet-on-wet and wet-on-dry techniques
• Creating delicate petals and natural floral shapes
• Colour mixing and harmonious floral palettes
• Soft and lost edges for a loose, atmospheric feeling
• Painting leaves, stems and greenery
• Creating depth through layering and tonal values
• Building beautiful, balanced floral compositions
• Simplifying reference photos instead of copying every detail
• Developing confident, expressive brushwork and your own artistic style

Each class will include demonstrations, step-by-step instruction and individual feedback, with plenty of time to paint and practise.

No previous watercolour experience is required. More experienced students are also welcome and can work at their own level with individual guidance.
